I reckon it reached critical mass a long time ago and is just self sustaining, self deluding.
Guilt and fear works, so why change it? They may moderate it slightly now and again but it still swings within the guilt / fear zone. Love is proclaimed but it's not there.
something that i noticed a couple of weeks ago regarding the identity of the wild beast.
the do said that the wild beast is the 'the world's failed political systems that do not acknowledge jehovah's authority.
i always understood that it was the un.
Not 100% sure what you are asking, but I think you may be wanting clarification on the (current) WTS understanding of the Wild Beast and its Image?

Image = UN

Aha! I spotted the fact the publications quoted SWITCH between the two as applying the UN tag to the WILD BEAST lately. That would previously have been incorrect. (wtf?)

The WTS like to bandy around the phrases "Spirit appointed" etc re the elders and themselves, ... the small print seen occaisonally in WT studies (and I think the OM book and Elders manual as well?) says different, but it seems not many pick up on it.
Basically they weasel out of it by saying that in so far as the person meets the "scriptual requirements" for the position of Elder as given in the "Spirit Inspired Word of God" they can be said to "Spirit Appointed". Yeah right, ...... The Bible is Spirit Inspired, therefore appointments of men made in harmony with said bible can be said to be "spirit appointed"? Now hang on a frickin minute! How exactly would that follow? Clearly it hasn't and doesn't.
This really bugged me whenever I saw it as it's a clear case of over statement.

As you didnt get baptised you are all good and in the clear, if any decide to shun you that is their personal cult induced choice, but most wont do so as it is not a requirement as you didnt technically become a JW. If you do become obviously anti-witness then the rest may do so as well, but otherwise not.

Read up here for the proof it's just another cult and based on false idea and suppositions right from the start. that doesnt mean EVERYTHING about them is wrong mind, but if C.T.Russel cant even get his chronology right that the whole thing is based around then it goes without saying it's not Gods organisaction like they keep saying they are. Otherwise you may doubt your decision like lots of JWs do when they leave many even still believing it is the "Truth". That just makes it much harder to deal with.

i've been playing around with this strategy for awhile.
how could i crack the defenses and get a jw to read crisis of conscience, captive to a concept, etc., or just some reasoning points in general on blood, 1914, the history of the wt organization?
i want to help my brothers and sisters, i am still inside for a while longer and feel like i need to do something more tangible.. so i was thinking that if a flash drive was "accidentally" left on the ground in the parking lot.
It would be turned in to the elders as lost property. Elder would read the stuff on it (to try and ID the owner) and would then find apostate stuff on it instead. He would not read the material beyond confirming the nature of the material. Then the witch hunt would begin to try and find who's property the stick is and also who the material on it was intended for. I'd suggest a more targetted approach
